Questions and answers

By Peter Solarski, founder of Forge Lead · Updated 5 November 2026

Straight answers to the questions people ask most about Forge Lead: who it is for, how working together works, what to expect from LinkedIn and architects, and how Voice OS and websites fit in. If your question is not here, send a note or book a short call.

About Forge Lead

What does Forge Lead do?

Forge Lead helps UK bespoke makers get known by the architects who could specify them. I write LinkedIn posts in the maker's own voice, connect them with the right architects and start real conversations from their own profile. When an architect asks about a project, the maker takes the call. I also build Voice OS, an AI writing system for people who want to write their own posts, and websites for small businesses.

Who runs Forge Lead?

Peter Solarski. Forge Lead is me, not an agency, so the person on the first call is the person who writes your posts and starts your conversations. More about me.

Who is Forge Lead for?

The main service is for UK makers who sell through architects and designers, and whose jobs run into five figures: steel doors and windows, architectural glazing, bespoke staircases, natural stone and architectural metalwork. Voice OS is for founders, experts and business owners in any field. Websites are for small businesses.

Is Forge Lead a LinkedIn agency?

No. The goal is not a busy feed or more followers. It is to make you known, in your own name, by a few hundred of the right architects, so your name is the one they remember when a suitable project comes up.

Working together

How much of my time does it take?

Two one-hour calls in the first week, then approving your posts. When an architect wants to talk about a real project, you take that call.

What happens in the first month?

Week 1 is two calls with you about your work. In week 2 you get a month of posts written from those calls, in your voice, and nothing goes out until you approve it. From then on your posts go out every week, and I connect you with architects and start conversations from your account.

Do I approve everything before it is posted?

Yes. Every post is approved by you before it goes out. If a sentence does not sound like you, it changes.

Do you send messages from my account?

Yes, with your agreement. Connection requests and a short opening note go out from your profile, because that is where the relationship needs to be. When an architect replies with a real question or a project, the conversation is handed to you.

What happens to the connections if we stop working together?

They stay with you. Every relationship is built on your profile, in your name, so nothing is lost if we stop.

Why only one maker per category?

Because I would be introducing you to the same architects. Once a category is taken it is closed, and I will not work with a direct competitor of an existing client. See which categories are open.

What do I need to bring?

Work worth showing, photographed properly. Someone who can answer technical questions about fire ratings, performance or lead times. And ideally somewhere an architect can see the work in person, such as a showroom, a workshop or a finished project.

Results and expectations

How long before architects get in touch?

In the steel doors case study, the first replies came within the first two weeks and a six-figure window package came up 12 weeks in. That is one maker in one category, so treat it as an example. Expect months, not weeks.

Do you guarantee orders?

No. What I can do is make sure the right architects know you, hear from you regularly and have a reason to ask you a question. Whether they specify you depends on your product, your answers and their projects.

What results has Forge Lead had so far?

For a luxury steel door maker in London, between 6 July and 3 October 2026: about 440 opening messages, 55 architects and architectural technologists who replied, 31 replies with substance, four live or named projects, a showroom visit followed by a stated intention to specify, and one live project with a six-figure window package. Read the case study.

Why LinkedIn and not ads or directories?

Ads and directories help an architect find you once they are already looking. They do little to make an architect know you before that moment, and marketing is the source architects trust least. The full reasoning is in the guide How to get specified by architects.

Should I use my personal profile or a company page?

Your personal profile. Architects build relationships with people, and a person's posts usually reach far more people than a company page. A company page is fine to keep alongside it.

Voice OS

What is Voice OS?

An AI writing system that writes LinkedIn posts in your own voice. It holds a voice guide built from how you talk, a bank of your real stories, a bank of your opinions and your positioning, set up in ChatGPT or Claude. More about Voice OS.

Does Voice OS work with ChatGPT and Claude?

Yes. It is a set of documents and instructions, so it works with either.

Is Voice OS only for makers?

No. It is for founders, experts and business owners in any field who want to post in their own voice without hiring a ghostwriter. Makers who would rather run LinkedIn themselves often start here.

Websites

What kind of websites do you build?

Websites for small businesses: designed around the business, fast on every phone, built on WordPress you can edit yourself, with hosting and setup sorted. More about websites.

How much does a website cost?

It depends on how many pages you need and what the site has to do. After a short call you get a clear quote for the whole job, so you know the full cost before anything starts.

Can I edit the website myself?

Yes. It is built on WordPress with the standard editor, not a page builder. You can change text, swap photos and add pages yourself.

Getting in touch

How do I start?

Book a 15-minute call. We will talk about your business and whether your category is open, and I will tell you honestly whether it makes sense for you.

Can I write instead of calling?

Yes. Email hello@forgelead.co.uk or use the contact form, and I will reply personally.

Still have a question?

Ask it on a short call, or send a note.
