Case studies

By Peter Solarski, founder of Forge Lead · Updated 5 November 2026

Case studies of what happens when a UK bespoke maker starts building relationships with architects on LinkedIn, shown in the architects' own messages. Every screenshot is real, with names, firms and locations covered and every word left as written.

Steel doors: the first 90 days

A luxury steel door maker from London, 6 July to 3 October 2026. About 440 opening messages to architects and specifiers. 55 replied, 31 with substance. Four raised live or named projects. One visited the showroom and wrote that she would be happy to specify the products. One arrived with a live project and a window package he valued in six figures.

The case study covers what the maker had before, the six steps we followed, the replies grouped by what the architects did next, a timeline, the supporting LinkedIn numbers and who this approach is not for.

Will there be more case studies?

Yes, as other categories start. I work with one maker per category: steel doors and windows is taken, and architectural glazing, bespoke staircases, natural stone and architectural metalwork are open. Each new category gets its own write-up once there are 90 days of messages to show. To see how the work runs week to week, read LinkedIn for bespoke makers.
